2023. YouScan adds Insights Copilot - an ultimate AI tool for social listening
In the endlessly complex and perpetually baffling universe of social media, YouScan has unveiled Insights Copilot, a marvelously clever assistant powered by none other than ChatGPT. Nestled comfortably in the mentions stream of the YouScan platform (where else would it be, really?), this digital wizardry offers an almost suspiciously intuitive natural language interface. Here, you can lob any burning question about social data into its metaphorical void or simply make use of some thoughtfully suggested queries. Ponder aloud, for instance, "What makes Polestar, well, Polestar?" and you’ll find Insight Copilot dispensing knowledge faster than a hyperactive Vogon poet reciting verse. Armed with this cascade of social insight, you can fine-tune your marketing, sharpen your communication, and supercharge your products, leaving your competition as befuddled as a dolphin at a Vogon poetry reading, while your clients marvel at the remarkable experience you've created.
2023. Tracksuit raises $5M to make brand tracking more accessible
Tracksuit, a plucky New Zealand-based brand tracking startup that seems to believe market research should be less about archaic spreadsheets and more about something actually useful, has conjured up $5 million in funding. Rather than merely sitting around and being impressed with themselves, the folks at Tracksuit have decided to do something sensible, like take on traditional market research behemoths by offering a brand insights tool that's not only affordable but so accessible you might actually want to use it. Presently, their tool is busily tracking insights for over 1,300 brands scattered across New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, and, as of recently, the United States—where, incidentally, the company has gone full New York mode since November. Yes, they're assembling a 10-person team in the city that never sleeps, all the better to power their expansion and, presumably, remember to sleep occasionally.

On the influencer side, they have their own portal and get alerts when brands want to collaborate with them. Instead of the old method of calling and texting with a brand, the influencer can view a list of available sponsorships, apply and get approved. They can buy products online or arrange to receive them and integrate with social media. ProductWind tracks when the posts go live and then compensates the influencer through the platform.

2020. Yelp adds new features for reopening businesses
Over the past few months, Yelp has been taking measures to assist businesses affected by the coronavirus pandemic—such as waiving fees, providing virtual service listings and supporting GoFundMe fundraisers. So Yelp is unveiling two of these tools today. Additionally, Yelp states it will employ a blend of human moderation and machine learning to refresh these sections with information that businesses have posted elsewhere, such as whether they offer curbside pickup or virtual services.
