SugarCRM is an alternative CRM system that is available in both open source and Commercial open source applications. Sugar's functionality includes sales-force automation, marketing campaigns, customer support, collaboration, Mobile CRM, Social CRM and reporting.

SuiteCRM
SuiteCRM is SugarCRM supercharged. It is a free and open source alternative to SugarCRM Professional Edition.

SugarCRM and SuiteCRM are two relative CRM systems built on the same PHP codebase (actually SuiteCRM is a fork of SugarCRM). They are customizable and extendable for different business needs and offer modules for sales, marketing and customer support as well as integrations with third-party tools.

But SugarCRM (launched in 2004) is now a paid proprietary software. It's targeted primarily at large enterprises and offers advanced AI-driven insights via SugarPredict feature. It's developer (the company with the same name - SugarCRM provides high-quality customer support and implementation services.

SuiteCRM (2013 ) is UK-based free open-source software (with optional paid support). It's targeted at small and medium business. It has no built-in AI features, but allows extensive manual customization. It has a big community of contributors, where you can find help and answers to your questions.
