RustDesk
Open source remote desktop software, allowing maintenance of computers and other devices. The RustDesk client is available for different operating systems. RustDesk has the aspiration to be an open source alternative for Remote desktop software like TeamViewer or AnyDesk.

NoMachine and RustDesk are both remote-access/live-support systems which work on multiple platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux), provide secure connections, enable file transfer and can be user for remote access of own computer.

But NoMachine (launched in 2003) is veteran Italian software that is primarily developed for enterprises-customers that need to support customers and internal users remotely. It has more polished user interface and advanced customization options. Besides it provides specialized features for multimedia streaming and collaborative work. The drawback is that NoMachine requires a server-client setup, infrastructure and network configuration.

RustDesk (2021) is Chinese open-source, community-driven product that targets individuals and small companies looking for a quick and easy remote desktop solution. It provides simple UI and built-in relay server for easy peer-to-peer connections. So it's more lightweight and portable, often used for personal PC remote access.
