Sage
Sage Business Cloud is the right, proven solution for mid-market customers with international ambitions and multi-national requirements. Sage Business Cloud technology is available on all leader platforms in the market with End-to-end process integrity and data consistency in your Webtop across the enterprise.

NetSuite and Sage are both sophisticated business software solutions, which is a bit like saying that a spaceship and a bicycle both help you get places. They both juggle accounting, financial management and automation like a particularly ambitious circus act and they both promise to make life easier, provided you don’t accidentally click something that catapults you into an abyss of tax compliance. They also let you play with multiple currencies and companies, which is useful if you happen to be running a global empire or just enjoy the thrill of switching between yen and pounds for no apparent reason. Their dashboards try very hard to make you feel in control of your business, even if your business is mostly just trying to find out where all the money went.

NetSuite, born in 1998 in the USA (where all ambitious software seems to emerge, like some kind of algorithmic Hollywood), is designed for fast-growing companies that aspire to one day be large enough to require an entire department just for remembering their passwords. It’s fully cloud-based, which means you don’t have to worry about losing it under the desk and it integrates with everything from CRM tools to e-commerce platforms, making it the software equivalent of an overenthusiastic personal assistant who insists on handling everything whether you like it or not. It’s fantastic if you want an all-encompassing system that scales with your ambitions, but it might occasionally feel like it's trying to run your business for you while you step out for coffee.

Sage, on the other hand, hails from the UK (circa 1981, back when software came in boxes and the internet made funny noises). It caters to a wider audience, from small businesses that just want to keep the lights on to larger enterprises that enjoy drowning in spreadsheets. Unlike its cloud-obsessed cousin, Sage still believes in on-premises options, meaning you can actually keep it in your office like a pet—albeit a pet that requires constant updates and a firm hand. It’s particularly strong in payroll and HR, making it great for businesses that enjoy the occasional existential crisis over salaries and it offers pricing that doesn’t make small businesses recoil in horror.
