Pocket
Put articles, videos or pretty much anything into Pocket. Save directly from your browser or from apps like Twitter, Flipboard, Pulse and Zite. If it's in Pocket, it's on your phone, tablet or computer. You don't even need an Internet connection.

Flipboard and Pocket are, at their core, two ways of ensuring you never run out of things to read while simultaneously making you feel guilty about how much you haven’t. They both let you save articles, peruse recommendations and sync across devices, ensuring that no matter where you are, you can always avoid doing actual work. They even allow offline reading, because why should a lack of internet prevent you from ignoring reality?

Flipboard, an American creation from 2010, operates on the premise that people enjoy their news served in a visually delightful, magazine-like format. It encourages users to "flip" through content as if they are important media moguls instead of people in pajamas scrolling at 2 AM. It thrives on discovery, helping users stumble upon fascinating articles they never intended to read while searching for something else entirely.

Pocket, meanwhile, hails from Canada and has been hoarding articles since 2007 (back when it was called "Read It Later," which, let’s face it, is still the primary user behavior). It’s less about flashy presentation and more about the noble art of putting things aside indefinitely. With features like text-to-speech and a robust tagging system, it pretends to help users organize their reading while secretly enabling the accumulation of thousands of unread articles that will never be revisited.
