InVideo enables you to transform your content into great videos. 5000+ Handcrafted Templates, 8M+ iStock Media Library.

Canva and InVideo are both cloud-based tools designed to make people feel like professional designers without actually having to be one. They offer a vast array of templates, from the utterly mundane to the aggressively trendy, allowing users to create everything from birthday invitations to social media ads with minimal effort. Both platforms also let you add text, images and videos in ways that will either impress your colleagues or at least stop them from questioning your life choices. They even provide collaboration features, because nothing says "teamwork" like seven people arguing over which shade of blue is more engaging.

Canva, born in the sun-drenched land of Australia in 2013, takes pride in being the ultimate one-stop-shop for graphic design. It’s as if someone took a stack of colored paper, a glue stick and a well-meaning art teacher, then digitized the entire experience. It specializes in static designs—presentations, social media posts, business cards and other things that make people look busy. The interface is so friendly it practically gives you a hug and if you feel the need to print your creations onto a tote bag, it will happily oblige.

InVideo, on the other hand, emerged in 2017 from the fast-moving creative chaos of India and immediately set out to make video editing as effortless as overcooked pasta. Its main trick is automation, using AI to stitch together text, images and stock footage into something resembling a professional video. It comes packed with voice-over tools, vast libraries of music and video clips and enough marketing-friendly features to make even the dullest PowerPoint enthusiast feel like a Hollywood director. Unlike Canva, it doesn't care much for posters or business cards—it lives and breathes motion, storytelling and the eternal struggle of finding the perfect background music.
