Box
Box offers free cloud storage and file sharing services that enables you to securely share and access files online. Companies rely on Box because it's secure, works on any device and scales to meet the needs of small businesses and Fortune 500 companies.

OpenText
OpenText products help organizations put content to work. Whether your goal is to drive revenue, improve productivity, reduce costs or ensure regulatory compliance and sound information governance, OpenText has the product to execute.

Box and OpenText are remarkably similar in a way that would make a particularly inquisitive mind pause and ponder. They both live in the cloud, offering the eternal joys of secure file storage, document sharing and collaboration – not unlike a digital version of the Hitchhiker’s Guide, but with far fewer attempts to avoid existential crisis. They cater to industries ranging from healthcare to finance, because, naturally, those are the places where you definitely don’t want to lose track of your files.

However, if you look at Box, you’ll see it’s far more approachable for the average small business or startup. It's a bit like the friendly alien who’ll show you around the galaxy with a simple interface and lots of helpful integrations. Available since 2005, this American-born creation is all about making collaboration as easy as finding a cup of tea in a British café, except with slightly fewer cups and far more cloud-based tools. The real beauty of Box is its ability to integrate effortlessly with everything from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, so you don’t have to worry about making your file-sharing experience a galactic-level conundrum.

On the other hand, OpenText is the grand old captain of content management, a far more complex beast originating in Canada way back in 1991. If Box is the slightly confused but well-meaning sidekick, OpenText is the seasoned veteran who has been around the digital universe long enough to know what every file in the galaxy is up to. It’s designed for massive enterprises with intricate needs, offering not just storage, but business process management, analytics and more specialized solutions. This is the platform you turn to when your organization is as vast and complex as the bureaucracy in the Galactic Government.
