Adobe Analytics and Mixpanel are both very clever at watching what people do online. They track clicks, swipes and all manner of human indecision in the form of bouncing between pages. Both let you slice and dice your data into charts and graphs that make you feel like a grand master of insight, even when all you've really discovered is that most users click the big shiny button labeled "Start" more than the one labeled "Learn More." Naturally, they also integrate with other important tools, because in the modern digital universe, no tool can exist alone without feeling deeply insecure about its purpose.

Adobe Analytics, a product from the ancient times of 1995, is the sort of thing massive corporations use when they need to justify their marketing budgets. It enjoys diving into historical data, tracking users across multiple channels and predicting what they might do next—sometimes correctly. It’s built for SaaS companies, mobile apps and other organizations that like their data quick, interactive and digestible, preferably with a side of A/B testing. It’s also much easier to set up, assuming you don’t get distracted by all the shiny funnel charts and engagement metrics along the way.
