Acronis
Acronis delivers the best data protection and disaster recovery for virtual, physical, mobile and cloud environments

Druva
Druva delivers secure backup as a service to the cloud across endpoints, servers and cloud applications, with integrated workflows, global deduplication, and deep search and data analytics capabilities making data protection and information management simpler, safer and more cost effective.

Acronis and Druva are both terribly clever at making sure your data doesn’t vanish into the digital void, eaten by some rogue ransomware or an unexpected cosmic hiccup. They exist to back things up, restore them when you least expect it and generally make IT admins feel like they have a tenuous grasp on the universe. Both have cloud-based disaster recovery, dashboards that look reassuringly complex and enough enterprise-grade security to make even the most paranoid compliance officer sleep at night. In short, they promise to save your data from doom, which is nice, because doom is terribly inconvenient.

Acronis, founded in the rather picturesque surroundings of Switzerland in 2003, seems to think the best way to protect your files is to put them everywhere—local drives, the cloud, probably under your sofa if you look hard enough. They also pack in cybersecurity features like anti-malware and endpoint detection, just in case your data feels like getting itself into trouble. Oh and if you’re an MSP juggling multiple clients, Acronis would very much like to be your best friend. It even throws in disk cloning tools, because who wouldn’t want to duplicate their entire system for fun and profit?

Druva, meanwhile, appeared in 2008 and decided to skip the whole "physical storage" nonsense entirely, opting for a purely SaaS-based existence. Born in India but now comfortably lounging in the USA, it caters to cloud-native enterprises that prefer everything neatly stored in AWS, far away from meddling human hands. Druva also has a keen eye on compliance, making sure companies don’t get sued for misplacing sensitive data. It’s all pay-as-you-go, no hardware needed, just plug in, back up and try not to think about how fragile digital existence really is.
